Jacqueline DeDeo, DVM

Dr. DeDeo started riding horses at the age of five and competed in equitation, hunters and jumpers through her junior years. Her love of the horse, science and desire to provide patients with more alternatives for healing are all the driving force behind Dr. DeDeo’s educational journey.

Dr. Jackie DeDeo graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. She completed an internship in surgery and medicine at Oklahoma State University. Following completion of her internship, Dr. DeDeo worked at Equine Medical Associates in Edmond, OK. During this time she began her training in Traditional Chinese Medicine beginning with certification in acupuncture through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS).

In 2004 Dr. DeDeo moved to Rhinebeck, New York and worked as a primary care horse veterinarian at Rhinebeck Equine for five years. While providing services to her equine clients, horse owners would frequently ask Dr. DeDeo to work on their dogs after having seen the good results she had with their horses.

Throughout the years she continued training in advanced acupuncture courses and herbal medicine for both dogs and horses at The Chi Institute in Reddick, FL most recently completing a Masters Degree in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (MSTCVM). Dr. DeDeo also received training for Veterinary Spinal Manipulative Therapy (VSMT-animal chiropractic) through The Healing Oasis Wellness Center in Wisconsin and took the certification exam through the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association (AVCA). She has continued to expand her knowledge in chiropractic through a number of advanced courses, such as VSMT with clinical applications in neurology at the Healing Oasis Wellness Center in Wisconsin.

In 2007 Equine Wellness, PLLC was established and shortly branched into Equine & Canine Wellness. The mission of Equine and Canine Wellness is to nurture and re-balance its patients. Keep the whole body in the best health possible which maximizes optimal performance and of course joy of life for horse, dog and owner!

Dr. DeDeo is currently providing services in Southern New Hampshire and Northern Massachusetts and Southern Maine. (Source)
