Jesslyn Anne Bryk-Lucy, DVM

A lifelong equestrian and horse owner, Dr. Jesslyn Bryk- Lucy earned her DVM from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. After completing an equine-specific internship at Blue Ridge Equine Clinic in Charlottesville, VA, she returned to NJ to work as an associate at East Coast Equine Veterinary Services for the next 5 years. In 2015, while she worked as a USDA/FSIS Supervisory Public Health Veterinarian, Dr. Jesslyn founded her own private ambulatory veterinary practice, Leg Up Equine Veterinary Services. She now balances her practice with her responsibilities as the Resident Veterinarian and an Assistant Professor of Equine Science at Centenary University. In October 2019, Dr. Jesslyn also became an American Veterinary Chiropractic Association (AVCA) Certified Animal Chiropractor.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Jesslyn enjoys spending time her husband Dave, their daughter Lola, and their dog Nut, who is training in agility and dock diving. She also enjoys riding her horse, hiking, biking and traveling. Prior to becoming a veterinarian, Dr. Jesslyn spent 10 years working as a hunter/jumper trainer and professional rider at Mill Stone Farm in Asbury, NJ. (Source)
