John Van Ostaaijen, DVM

John grew up on a small family dairy farm in Stayner Ontario, he always wanted to work within the dairy industry so he chose a career as a large animal veterinarian. He graduated in 1997 from the Ontario Veterinary College, and started his career as a large animal veterinarian in Belleville, Ontario. John completed the Dairy Health Certificate Program at the University of Guelph in 2005, a program offered to Dairy Veterinary Consultants. In 2007, with twins on the way John’s Family decided to move closer to their families and chose Elmira because of its vibrant dairy area, the Eldale Veterinary Clinic was an ideal fit. John became a partner at the Eldale Veterinary Clinic in 2010. John, his wife Jodi and three kids, Nathan, Kyle and Macey live in Inverhaugh with their recently adopted dog Brady and cranky cat Sunny.
