Joseph Pluhar, DVM

Dr. Joe Pluhar is a Texas panhandle transplant who grew up showing reining and all-around quarter horses. He graduated from Texas A&M with business and veterinary degrees. He spent a couple years between San Antonio and Del Rio working in a mixed animal practice before joining the Brazos Valley Equine Hospitals family in August 2016. He wanted to get back to his performance horse roots and jumped at the chance to join Brazos Valley Equine Hospitals. Joe especially enjoys helping athletes reach their full potential and understands the impact quality veterinary care can have on people.

Joe also holds an NRHA judges card. He and his wife, Lauren, and daughter, Penelope, live in Navasota with their dog, Shorty, and cat, Zooey. (Source)
