Judson Easterwood, DVM

Dr. Jud Easterwood was born in Alexander City, home of the beautiful Lake Martin, and attended Benjamin Russell High School. After high school, Dr Easterwood completed his undergraduate studies at Auburn University and his veterinary medical training at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. While there Dr Easterwood received specific equine medical training and has been specializing in equine medicine and surgery while seeing a limited number but wide range of other species both large and small.In 2008 Dr Easterwood started Easterwood Equine Hospital in Calera, AL after working at an equine surgery center in central Mississippi. There he provides medical service to horses in and around the greater Birmingham area as well as many horses and clients that haul to Easterwood Equine from other municipalities. His professional interests include lameness diagnosis/detection and management, performance horse medicine, reproduction, and surgery.
