Kasey Griffing

I’m Kasey Griffing, the horse lover behind Hawk Eye Equine. I started riding at eight and have enjoyed horses in many settings, from English and Western lessons to a cattle drive and daily barn chores. Some of my favorite moments are simply watching the herd dynamics unfold—there’s always a little soap opera happening! After a corporate career, I found myself drawn toward more hands-on work with horses. That path led me to equine bodywork, where my curiosity, love of learning, and appreciation for each horse’s personality guide everything I do.

Education: Freely Forward Bodywork

Geographic Area Serviced: Northern Virginia, Manassas, Fairfax, Centreville, Haymarket, Nokesville, Warrenton

Area of Expertise: I offer equine bodywork incorporating massage, myofascial release, gentle movement, and range-of-motion work to support comfort and ease of movement. Each session is tailored to the horse, with attention to their responses, preferences, and boundaries, as well as observations shared by their owner or caregiver. I’m currently completing my certification through Freely Forward Equine Bodywork, having completed both hands-on clinics and anatomy and physiology coursework.

Types of Horses: I work with hunters, jumpers, lower-level eventers, lesson horses, pleasure and trail horses, seniors, rescues, and companions. My experience spans actively ridden horses and retirees, with sessions tailored to each horse’s needs, personality, and comfort. Whether supporting a horse in regular work or helping a pasture companion feel more comfortable, I bring the same patient, attentive approach.
