Katelynn Cox

Dr. Katelynn Cox grew up in Custer, Michigan, on a small family farm where they raised steer and swine. She started her journey with horses at a young age through her local 4-H club, where she quickly realized her interest went well beyond a hobby. Dr. Cox spent her youth showing and working with Arabians and Half-Arabians throughout the United States on both a regional and national level, including riding competitively on the US Saddle Seat Young Riders team.

Dr. Cox received her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Michigan State University and elected to stay at Michigan State to attend veterinary school. During that time, Dr. Cox completed a sports medicine summer fellowship with Equine Athlete Veterinary Services, followed by a summer at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital as a student surgical assistant through MSU’s Equine Fellows program.

Outside of work, Katelynn enjoys spending time with her family and lake days in Northern Michigan. (Source)
