Kathryn Elizabeth Sharbrough, DVM

Dr. Kathryn Sharbrough (Dr. K) grew up in Charleston, South Carolina. She attended Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine in Alabama, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2012. Dr. K completed a rotating Equine Medicine & Surgery Internship (2012-2013), American Board of Veterinary Practitioners Residency in Equine Practice (2013-2015) and a Comparative Theriogenology (Reproduction) Residency (2014-2016), all at Mississippi State University. Afterwards, she worked at an Abraham’s Equine Clinic in Cedar Rapids, Iowa for 2.5 years before returning home to be closer to family and enjoy the warmer weather. While Dr. K enjoys all aspects of equine medicine and surgery, her interests include obstetrics, therapeutic management for the problem mare and stallion, embryo transfer, neonatology, dentistry, ophthalmology, internal medicine, and minor surgeries.

Dr. K and her husband have three amazing children, Cameron, Luke, and Tyler. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and animals. (Source)
