Katie Smith, DVM MS

Dr. Katie Smith is originally from Rochester, NY. She moved to NC in 1993 and graduated from NC State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. She joins the VCA Parkway Animal Hospital staff subsequent to providing relief veterinary services at a number of area hospitals. Her interests include feline medicine, surgery, and behavior, disaster and rescue medicine, and overpopulation control via feral cat trap/neuter/release and general spay/neuter. Katie and her husband Glen live in Cary with their two daughters and a myriad of cats. When not working, Katie enjoys being with her family, hula hooping, and an occasional geocache. (Source)
