Kennon L. Keckler, DVM

Dr. Ken Keckler graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture in 1987 and a DVM in 1991. Since then he has practiced equine medicine in Northeast Ohio, working on everything from Standardbred race horses and Hunter-Jumpers to miniatures and draft horses. Sport horse medicine has been his primary focus, dealing with lameness diagnostics and treatment, including blocking, ultrasound, radiography and joint injections. He has taken an interest in the ‘digital’ aspect of veterinary communication, and is actively involved with website content and working on the ‘BUCKEYE BLOG’. Another area of interest is preventative medicine. Dr. Keckler is actively involved in our Wellness Program, emphasizing the importance of vaccines, deworming and routine maintenance.

With a busy family life, (wife Stephanie is a small animal veterinarian and two boys active in sports, music and drama) he also makes time to be involved in a men’s acapella group at church, and plays guitar on occasion. As a diehard Ohio State football fan, Dr. Keckler bleeds scarlet and grey. GO BUCKEYES!! (Source)
