Kimberly Renee Bridges, DVM

Dr. Kimberly Bridges is a native of south-east Virginia. She completed her undergraduate degrees in Animal Science and Biology at Virginia Tech University, Go Hokies! Her doctorate of veterinary medicine was completed at Western University of Health Sciences in California. To further her education, she completed a rotating small animal medicine and surgery internship at Oradell Animal Hospital in New Jersey and an emergency medicine and critical care residency at the New England Animal Medical Center in Massachusetts.

In her early career. Dr. Bridges managed an intensive care unit at a specialty referral hospital and co-directed their internship program. In 2020, she decided to join the Ohana family where she strives to practice astute medicine while establishing life-long relationships with her clients and patients. She looks forward to bringing a unique skill set to the hospital while continuing to grow in her career path as an accomplished general practitioner.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Bridges enjoys spending her free time with her husband (also a veterinarian), dogs Nala and Dudley, and cats Iris and Flora (all rescues, of course). She never misses an opportunity for a long hike, fishing trip on the Chesapeake Bay, or just reading a good book while relaxing in the Outer Banks! (Source)
