Laura de Pedis

Laura de Pedis began riding at the early age of 2 and entered the show ring at age 9. She grew up showing her beloved ponies, “Thunder,” “Firefly,” and “El Seyid.” She was lucky enough to find Hanoverian gelding “Perception,” a.k.a. “Sweet Pea,” at age 6 and train through the levels of dressage with her mother, Pam Andrews. Throughout high school and college, Laura and Sweet Pea’s show career to them through the Junior and Young Rider FEI, competing at National Competitions and CDIs, resulting in multiple US standings and national and regional championships for CDS, USDF, and USEF. While Laura was in graduate school, her mother showed Sweet Pea through Grand Prix and sadly they decided to retire him shortly thereafter due to his declining health. After Sweet Pea’s passing and several years in the life sciences and corporate world, Laura stepped back into the show ring in 2019 with her own Joe Bretton MVS, a Dutch Warmblood, whom she started on her own. He is a very talented youngster, with a bright future ahead, with multiple 70%+ scores as a five year old at First Level. His recent accolades include scores at over 69% at Fourth Level and making his Prix St. George debut this spring. She is looking forward to the future and grateful for every ride on her horses.
