Leigh Doherty

Leigh (pictured below) started her riding career right here at Hunter’s Run at the age of 10. Under Colleen’s mentorship she rose through the ranks of the hunter rings until she found her passion in the jumper ring. She showed successfully all across the West Coast and in Canada. In the early 2000s she moved to the Bay Area and began riding professionally with Paul Bennet and Hillary Johnson at Rose Hill Stables. After taking a break to start a family, Leigh has now returned to riding and teaching with Hunter’s Run. Leigh believes deeply in the bond between trainer, horse and rider along with creating strong relationships between barn-mates. She has an enthusiasm for teaching and promoting the fundamentals for beginning riders. (Source)
