Lesha Dawson, DVM

Dr. Lesha Dawson grew up in the small rural community of Ruskin, Nebraska. She attended undergrad at University of Nebraska, graduating with a degree in Animal Science in 2006. After graduation, Dr. Dawson started veterinary school at Iowa State University, graduating in 2010.

Dr. Dawson started her veterinary career in rural Kansas where she developed an interest in reproduction, bovine medicine, surgery, and dermatology. Dr. Dawson joined the BVH family in 2017, and she became an owner in 2020.

When Dr. Dawson is not treating animals at BVH, she enjoys spending time with her family: her husband Matt, daughter Pippa, and their twins Remi and Jax. She truly loves animals and has her own small herd at home including Tuffy (a 17 year old Yorkie), Sheldon and Dixie (goats), Dash (horse), Herman and Vinny (cows), Snookie (cat), Rosie (parrot), and Mocha Bean (bunny).
