About Little mustang training
Our horse lesson program offers a safe, supportive, and inclusive space where people can learn, grow, and build meaningful connections with horses. Whether you’re stepping into a barn for the first time or returning after years away, our lessons are designed to meet you where you are.
We welcome riders of all experience levels, ages, identities, and backgrounds. Our teaching approach is flexible, patient, and individualized because we know that every person learns differently. We focus on developing confidence, communication, horsemanship, and riding skills at a pace that feels comfortable and achievable.
Our program proudly welcomes neurodivergent individuals, including those with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and other neurodiverse experiences. We also warmly welcome LGBTQ+ riders and their families. Everyone deserves the opportunity to experience the joy, confidence, and connection that horses can provide without worrying about being judged or having to hide who they are.
Lessons emphasize:
Safe and compassionate horsemanship
Building trust and partnership with horses
Riding skills tailored to each rider’s goals
Confidence, independence, and personal growth
Respect for both people and animals
Independence
Why We Do It
We believe that everyone deserves to feel like they belong.
For many people—especially those who are neurodivergent or part of the LGBTQ+ community—finding recreational spaces where they can simply be themselves isn’t always easy. We created this program because we believe the barn should be a place where differences are respected, individuality is celebrated, and every rider is valued.
Horses don’t care about labels or expectations. They respond to honesty, patience, consistency, and trust. Working with them can help build confidence, improve communication, reduce stress, and create a sense of accomplishment that extends far beyond the arena.
Our mission is about more than teaching people to ride. It’s about creating a community where people feel welcome, accepted, and encouraged to grow at their own pace. We strive to make our lessons accessible, adaptable, and free from judgment, so every rider has the opportunity to discover what they are capable of.
We are committed to treating every person with dignity and respect while providing high-quality instruction in a supportive environment. Whether your goal is to become a skilled rider, build confidence, connect with horses, or simply enjoy time in the barn, we’re honored to be part of your journey.
At the heart of everything we do is a simple belief: everyone deserves a place where they feel safe, seen, and welcome.
Area of Expertise: We are primarily a lesson barn for western and English open to all humans but we also take in some training horses from time to time. Do leases on horses to students. And private horse events. We have group lessons, private lessons, and a private lesson designed for people that might not be ready to ride yet.
Types of Horses: All humans and horses welcome!
