I came to this facility to pick up a horse that was in 24/7 turn out. What I saw was the most horrifying thing I have ever seen in my life
The field was 5.5 foot tall weeds, thick and hard to get through. They keep 8 horses in this field but it was so overgrown unless the horse picked his head up we couldn’t see them. We clapped and kissed, several horses heads went up. There were 3 or 4 same darker brown with white spot on their heads, we had to check feet for which horses has which white socks. One horse has sores all over its face, one is so skinny his ribs are showing, the rest are EXTREMELY bloated.
We started walking the field towards the back when an forgetable smell was getting stronger and stronger. Then one of my son’s came across a horse, half decayed hiding in the overgrowth! The horse had maggots on him! …
    NO ONE KNEW!
HOW CAN NO ONE HAVE KNOWN?
People pay for their horses to be there and looked over, they are placed in the care of the facility even if it “24/7 turnout” with NO SHELTER from the elements!! The owner Lisa kept placing blame on the horse owner (which blame they share) and using the “24/7 turnout” as a reason not to care!
When i told her that was the most horrifying thing I’ve ever seen in my life she said “I’ve seen dead horses” nonchalantly down playimg the decay, the smell, the maggots!
NO ONE cared to do a daily head count? The fact the horse owner owed money was more important the then horse itself! Then bragged “she has a $30,000 personal horse at her home whose healthy!” I could not believe my ears, one of my son’s were so filled with instant rage he had to walk away from her to control his actions!
No compassion, no care, no humanity, ZERO RESPECT!
No respect to the horse owner, no respect to the public standing in her overgrowth, NONE for herself or her business that bought her the $30,000 healthy horse at her own home SAFE.
Never seen a more unprofessional, cold, inhumane, vial situation in my life!
Oh and … “the brush hog was broke” was reason the field was so overgrown! Owner brags about her $30,000 horse safe and healthy at her home, not even at her own facility, but can’t fix the brush hog for the people paying for her to have what she has!
    Appalled!!
