Meg Miller Turpin, DVM DACVIM

Meg was raised in Nova Scotia, Canada but attended the Penn State University for her undergraduate degree in Animal Science and obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the Atlantic College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Prince Edward Island in 1995. Following graduation from veterinary school, she completed an internship at the Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital. She then completed her Residency in Large Animal Internal Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in 1998 after which she became boarded in Equine Internal Medicine. She moved to Palm Beach County in 1998 where she worked as an associate at Reid & Associates Referral Hospital until 2004. In 2004, Meg started her own mobile referral business, now known as Equine Medicine Specialists of South Florida. Her primary interests are the gastrointestinal tract, specializing in chronic colics and gastric ulcer disease, equine cardiology and poor performance but expand to include endocrine and neurologic disease. She is a firm believer in adjunctive therapies such as Hyperbaric Oxygen, so much so that she is the founder and part owner of the Equine Hyperbaric Center of South Florida. (Source)
