Megan Murphy Lamb, DVM MS DACVS-LA

Dr. Megan Lamb is a board-certified large animal surgeon who grew up on her parents’ Thoroughbred breeding farm in Citra, Florida training and competing in A-circuit hunters, eventing, and dressage. In addition to graduating from the US Pony Club at the HA level, she was involved in her father’s equine veterinary practice at an early age. After obtaining a bachelor’s degree magna cum laude from Colgate University (New York, 2005) she graduated as her class salutatorian from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine (2009). Her specialty surgery training consisted of an internship at the New Jersey Equine Clinic (2010) and residency at Marion duPont Scott Equine Medical Center (Virginia, 2010-2013). She obtained a master’s degree in Biomedical and Veterinary Sciences from Virginia Tech and her research evaluating treatments for collateral ligament injuries in the hoof was published in the journal Veterinary Radiology and Ultrasound. Outside of work Dr. Lamb enjoys riding her horse, hiking with her dogs, and skiing. (Source)
