Melanie Francis Lombardi, DVM

Dr. Melanie Lombardi was born in Connecticut. Her first love was beach volleyball, when she wasn’t practicing, her time was spent volunteering at H.O.R.S.E of CT where she fell in love with the idea of being able to help animals. Her passion for horses was further cultivated while she lived in Lexington, KY where she worked at a sports medicine facility and spent her mornings at Keeneland Racetrack. Dr. Lombardi crossed the pond to England where she attended the Royal Veterinary College to attain her DVM. She proceeded to do a rotating internship at New England Equine Medical and Surgical Center in New Hampshire. Her interests include ophthalmology, emergency medicine and internal medicine. In her free time she enjoys riding her two horses, working out, going to rodeos and eating her weight in tacos. (Source)
