Melanie Jackson, DVM

Dr. Melanie Jackson grew up in Maplewood, MN, and has always had a deep love for animals, developing a passion for helping them at a young age. She obtained a bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities, followed by a degree in Veterinary Technology from Argosy University, and worked as a Certified Veterinary Technician for several years before finally returning to the University of MN – College of Veterinary Medicine for her Doctorate (DVM).

Dr. Jackson enjoys working with companion animals (dogs & cats), as well as, horses and small ruminants (i.e. goats, llamas/alpacas, etc). She has many years of small animal emergency medicine and toxicology experience, along with a strong interest in holistic therapies which led her to complete the Animal Chiropractic course through Options for Animals.

Dr. Melanie, her husband Tony, and daughter, Lillyan, share a home with their 2 dogs, 5 cats & 2 goats. Whenever possible they enjoy spending time outdoors – hunting, hiking, gardening, etc.; otherwise time is spent reading, catching up on movies, and just hanging out with family & friends. (Source)
