Melanie Runkle, DVM

Dr. Melanie is a 2020 graduate of NC State College of Veterinary Medicine. Originally born in White Plains, NY, Dr. Melanie was raised in Charlotte, NC where she split her days between school, softball, and horseback riding. She then spent four years at the University of Notre Dame earning a degree in biology and becoming a very passionate Fighting Irish football fan!

Dr. Melanie’s favorite aspects of veterinary medicine are treating horses and goats and walking beside the people who care for them. She especially loves working with the Navajo and Yup’ik tribes of Arizona and Alaska through Christian Veterinary Mission.

When Dr. Melanie is not working with animals, you can find her hiking, biking with her fiance Luke, or doing pretty much any outdoor activity! (Source)
