Michael A. Jones, DVM

Dr. Mike graduated from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1979. He did his undergraduate at Tarleton State University from 1974-1976. From 1979 to 1984 he was a veterinarian in the U.S. Army with duty stations at Ft. Lewis in Washington, the U.S. Naval Base at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and finally at USAMRIID, the army’s center for medical biological defense against the bad guys.

Dr. Mike bought the Glen Rose Veterinary Clinic in 1984, and has been here ever since. Originally, the practice took care of large and small animals. Dr. Mike was also the vet for Fossil Rim Wildlife Ranch for several years. The practice is now exclusively limited to small animals and exotics.

He has three children. Philip Jones graduated from Glen Rose in 1998, and now lives with his wife Nickey in Lewisville, Texas. Matt Jones graduated in 2002, and lives in Morgan, Texas with his wife Tiffany. His daughter Hope is only 8 years old and hasn’t graduated just yet. (Source)
