About Mount Nebo Agway
Agway made it’s appearance in Beaver County in 1987 when Chet and Sherry Whelpley purchased the business and property on Sharon Rd., known at the time as Farm Bureau/True Value Hardware.
The Whelpley’s two sons,Chad and Curt, were just 10 and 7 years old at the time. Chet grew up on a dairy farm in central PA, got his Ag Business Management degree from Penn State in 1973 and began his career in agriculture related retail. (Source)
