About Napoleon Feed Mill
Napoleon Feed Mill was established in 1939 by Orin Heselschwerdt, who transformed a train station into a working feed elevator which would custom grind and mix feed. Before this, Orin was driving trucks after the Great Depression like many others had done. He trucked livestock and farmed. He would travel to Detroit with cattle and while he was there he found that the livestock places would sell their leftover salt. He then would fill his trailer with salt and brought it back home to farmers. It started off with salt and then he would add fertilizer. Later on, he bought the train station and started having things on rail cart. Soon after that, came the Napoleon Feed Mill. The Napoleon Feed Mill has expanded in many areas over the years, but has continued the family tradition that Orin started in 1939. (Source)
