Olivia Tondevold

I have been working with horses for over a decade. I started my training career by taking horses in and making them safe for beginner riders in the lesson program I was involved in. That led me to getting my instructor of beginners from equestrian Canada before they changed systems. In my early years I found experience jumping, trail riding, and working with off track thoroughbreds.

Soon enough I apprenticed with a local colt starter to learn how to handle young horses, and was starting young horses shortly after that. At the same time I had the chance to ride with Dominique Barbier and learn the ins and outs of classical dressage. This wealth of experiences allowed me to develop my own training style, focusing on balance and alignment for success of the horse. This means that I take my time, and focus on functional movement to set up the horse for a long career.

I also teach riding lessons for beginners to advanced! Riders who really want to find a connection and the art in riding will really enjoy my teaching style, and competitive riders can benefit too!
