Payton Training Center, located in Ocala, Florida – often referred to as the “Horse capital of the World” — is acclaimed for the thoroughbreds they break and train. J.J. Pletcher works closely with his son, Todd Pletcher and breaks many of the horses Todd later trains. J.J. Pletcher, with more than 50 years’ experience training horses was instrumental in the selection at the auction of Breeder’s Cup winners, English Channel as well as More than Ready, a grade I winner who earned more than $1 million in his two seasons on the track.
