Rachel Herman, DVM

Dr. Rachel Herman was born and raised in a suburb of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Since she can remember, she had a passion for horses and started riding and showing in the dressage, jumper and eventing world. As she grew older, she developed a love for Thoroughbreds, their personalities, athletic ability and heart.

Dr. Herman graduated from Delaware Valley University in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in biology. In between college and vet school, she worked as a veterinary assistant and a riding instructor. During veterinary school Dr. Herman was a member of SCAAEP and SCAVMA and completed her clinical year, rotating through equine hospitals in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina and Lexington Kentucky.

She graduated from Lincoln Memorial University – College of Veterinary Medicine in 2019 and began working for TFB Equine shortly after. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her fiancé, two dogs, two cats and riding her OTTB, Being Perfect. (Source)
