Rachel Hosier, VMD, cVMA

Rachel grew up in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, where she enjoyed having horses in her backyard and competing on the local hunter circuit. She received her Bachelor’s in Animal Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and during her time there she actively competed on the intercollegiate hunt seat riding team as well as dabbling in eventing. She returned to the east coast to attend the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, she completed a year long internship at South Shore Equine Clinic and Diagnostic Center in Plympton, MA. Most recently, she has been an associate at an equine sports medicine practice in Bucks County, PA.

Dr. Hosier’s professional interests include dentistry, sports medicine, and acupuncture. She is a graduate of the CuraCore veterinary medical acupuncture program, and enjoys integrating acupuncture alongside conventional therapeutics. She continues to be an avid rider, and is currently working towards her USDF Silver Medal with her horse, Quinn.
