Hi, I’m Sharon—a lifelong animal advocate with a heart especially tied to horses. My journey with them began when I was 10 years old, and they’ve been my passion, my purpose, and my peace ever since.

From mucking stalls to mastering dressage, I’ve done just about everything you can imagine with horses. But more than just the doing, it’s always been about understanding them—what they need, how they feel, how they learn. I believe horses have an incredible way of mirroring our energy and teaching us about patience, presence, and trust. That’s why I’ve dedicated my life to helping others build meaningful, safe, and joyful relationships with these amazing animals.

Together with my family, we’ve built a farm that’s more than just fences and feed—it’s a home, a sanctuary, a learning space. My husband Tom, our son Thomas, and a wonderful team of instructors all share this vision with me. We opened our first farm in New York in 1988, and since 2002, we’ve been rooted in Gore, Virginia, serving our community with heart and horsemanship.

We specialize in working with beginners, children, and timid riders—because we know firsthand how powerful and healing horses can be when you feel safe and seen. We teach Western, English, Gaited Pleasure, and Training Level Dressage using natural horsemanship principles, always putting the horse’s well-being first.
