Sarah Birdsong, DVM

Dr. Sarah Birdsong is originally from Pensacola, FL and received her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences in 2018 from the University of West Florida. She competed with her undergraduate’s IHSA team all four years and also competed locally with her own horse. Dr. Birdsong graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2022. During vet school, she worked at the equine hospital as an overnight student technician all four years to gain as much experience as possible. She spent time with vet clinics abroad to gain different perspectives and experiences. Dr. Birdsong was also a board member of both the student chapter of AAEP and AVMA, and a local organization that provided veterinary services to the Native American Reservations. After graduation, she worked as an intern at Texas Equine Hospital before returning to the area. (Source)
