Sarah DeLee

Sarah enjoyed a successful junior career competing in the hunters, jumpers, and equitation on the local and national levels. She attended Johnson and Wales University, where she double majored in Business Administration and Equine Business Management, with a concentration in Instruction and Training. Sarah was a four-year member of the Johnson and Wales IHSA team, which she captained for two years and led to its first Tournament of Champions appearance. During her college summers, she continued her education by riding with Olympian Chris Kappler, earning her level 4 and 5 medals in Germany, and interning with a variety of trainers focusing on developing young horses both here and in Germany. Since graduating from college in 2017, Sarah has groomed for and ridden with several trainers and private clients, focused on preparing horses for the show ring. Through all of her experience, Sarah has maintained good horsemanship as her highest value. She believes that proper care and treatment of the horse, as well as a proper foundation for both horse and rider, are the key to achieving any goal– from simply developing a good partnership and enjoying your ride to succeeding at horse shows at any level.
