Sarah Duffell

Sarah Duffell brings a clinical background to equine bodywork. Before founding Equine Massage Specialists, she spent years as Head Technician in an occupational and physical therapy office. There she worked hands-on with patients using stretching, strengthening exercises, laser, ultrasound and electrical stimulation, and saw what targeted therapy can do for how a body moves and recovers.

Horses were always her first love. Sarah holds a B.S. in Equine Science from Virginia Intermont College, and in 2018 she earned her certification as an Equine Sports Massage Therapist (CESMT) at Animal Dynamics in Ocala.

Every session is built around the individual horse: its discipline, workload, history and how it responds on the day. Sarah works on show and performance horses who need to move freely and recover faster, and on retirees and seniors who need a little extra comfort. She’s happy to work alongside your veterinarian, farrier or chiropractor as part of your horse’s care team.

Based in Inverness, Sarah travels throughout Citrus County, Ocala and Marion County, and across Central Florida.
