Shelbe Rice, DVM

Dr. Shelbe Rice graduated from the University of Georgia, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2018. Until recently Dr. Rice worked at a rural mixed animal practice where she treated a broad spectrum of animals including cats, dogs, sheep, goats, horses, and cattle.

Her interests in small animal medicine include soft tissue surgery and preventative care. She also thoroughly enjoys equine reproduction and field medicine. She constantly strives to rise above and beyond to not only further her education through research, but also give the best care to each patient as if they were her own – from small animals to large animals, she loves them all!

In her spare time, she enjoys riding her horses and spending time with her husband, Josh, and their daughter Kinsley. They have 2 dogs, 3 cats, and 3 horses. Dr. Rice is very excited to be joining our team! Always equipped with a big smile and lots of enthusiasm, she can’t wait to take care of your pets large and small! (Source)
