Suzanne Chenault

Suzanne Chenault has been riding horses on and off since she was 12. She took a long break to start and care for her growing family but returned to her passion when she moved to Texas in 2016.

She has been volunteering at Happened by Chance Horse Rescue since 2019. She participated in all aspects of rescue horses from farrier day, medical procedures and anything related to training horses five to six days a week. It was there that she learned she has a strong connection with Off The Track Thoroughbreds. She has trained many different breeds, of all ages and from a wide variety of backgrounds and has helped many rescue horses work through some physical and emotional traumas. She has learned amazing skills from a vast array of trainers, a knowledgeable farrier and a phenomenal team of vets. She has learned not only re-training but rehabbing neglected and abused horses with some severe medical issues.

Most recently she has had an amazing experience working for a trail company teaching the English discipline of riding in a western trail setting. This experience gave her the tools necessary to teach the mechanics of riding as well as how to have a better relationship with your horse. She can teach beginner horsemanship and riding to students of any age. She practices natural horsemanship with an emphasis on bonding and building a strong and willing partnership between horse and human. (Source)
