My name is Taylor Schouten, Wild Hoof Equine’s hoof care practitioner. I offer barefoot trimming, composite shoeing, steel transitions, booting, rehabilitation, and consultation services. I believe in a holistic, whole horse approach to hoof care. Key factors include the horse’s environment, nutrition, and lifestyle. I take a team approach with the owner, and the horse’s wellness team (veterinarian, body worker, dentist, saddle fitter, bitting/bridle specialist, etc.). All clients stay on a 4-5 week cycle in the summer months, and a 5-6 week cycle in the winter months (case dependent, of course).
