Tony Kimmons, DVM

Dr. Tony Kimmons has been practicing equine veterinary medicine for more than 26 years. He received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in Knoxville, TN in 1995. He is a native of Dickson, TN. Initially Dr. Kimmons practiced in the Collierville/ Germantown, TN area. After moving back to Middle Tennessee area in 1996, he became a partner at an equine practice in the area. Then in 2004, Dr. Kimmons established Franklin Equine Services & Veterinary Hospital. His desire to create a state of the art facility that could accommodate the equine veterinary needs of Middle Tennessee and the surrounding region. In addition to traditional veterinary care, Dr. Kimmons offers alternative/complimentary medicine in the form of chiropractic adjustments. He is certified with the IVCA after completing a six month course study with Options for Animals, an accredited school for DVM and chiropractors exclusively. His practice focus includes but is not limited to sports medicine, lameness, therapeutic & rehabilitation, internal medicine, and reproduction. He is proud that his practice consists of multiple breeds and disciplines. Dr. Kimmons is a member of the AAEP, AVMA, TVMA, MTAEP and IVCA. (Source)
