I was introduced to horses at a young age visiting my grandmother’s farm. From here the seed was planted. Riding lessons led to leasing a horse, joining the United States Pony Club and eventually horse ownership and the desire to be an equine veterinarian. Pony Club, competing my Morgan horse in breed shows, dressage and combined training taught me valuable lessons in horsemanship and husbandry that serve me well to this day. My first horse Waltz is still with me and is retired at a farm in New Hill, NC. (Source)
