Wild Iris Horse Farm

WILD IRIS HORSE FARM is the home of the Wild Iris Shires. Shires are a beautiful breed of draft horse that originated in England. They are known for their immense size and strength, their intelligence and loving personalities. They are also recognized for the white feather on their lower legs. These shires are used in the farm’s carriage operation and are very popular with our wedding carriage patrons.

WILD IRIS HORSE FARM also operates a full-service horse stable which provides professional boarding for horses whose owners are visiting Bar Harbor for the purpose of riding or driving their horses on Acadia National Park’s carriage road system. We also accept year round boarders. (Source)
