• The study found that the aqueous humor was almost devoid of cells. More so, the scarce cells found were so degenerated that they could not be recognized.
• The protein concentration within the aqueous humor samples was predominantly low, with albumin being the only detectable protein on electrophoresis. Creatine phosphokinase and lactate dehydrogenase isoenzymes could not be detected.

Implications from Sampling

• The research pointed out that the artifacts (changes or events) brought about by the sampling process are insignificant when compared to alterations in the composition of aqueous humor that occur due to ocular diseases.
