About Derek Poupard, CJF, DipWCF

Derek Poupard is an internationally recognized farrier and member of the International Horseshoeing Hall of Fame. He began his farriery career in South Africa and has worked with high-level sport and racehorses in the United States, Dubai, and the United Kingdom. His work focuses on hoof function, therapeutic farriery, and the development of innovative hoof-care materials and techniques, including HoofCast and 3D HoofCare pads. Poupard has also contributed to the veterinary farriery literature, co-authoring work on modified hoof-cast application in equine practice.
