[HPLC separation and characterization of tick-borne encephalitis and equine Venezuela encephalomyelitis viral proteins].
Bioorganicheskaia khimiia    July 28, 1999   Volume 25, Issue 4 253-256
Akimenko ZA, Ofitserov VI, Shaprov VV, Iastrebov SI.Homogeneous (according to PAGE) capsid and surface viral proteins were isolated from concentrated purified suspensions of tick-borne encephalitis and Venezuelan equine encephalomyelitis viruses by one-stage reversed-phase HPLC. The amino acid composition and the sequences of their N-terminal parts were determined.
[O,O-dialkyl-S-bromomethylthiophosphates–inhibitors of mammalian choline- and carboxyl esterases: structure-activity relationship].
Bioorganicheskaia khimiia    May 11, 1999   Volume 25, Issue 1 3-7
Makhaeva GF, Iankovskaia VL, Kovaleva NV, Fetisov VI, Malygin VV, Torgasheva NA, Khaskin BA.The interaction kinetics of potential pesticides, O,O-dialkyl S-bromomethylthiophosphates (RO)2P(O) SCH2Br (R = Et, i-Pr, n-Pr, n-Bu, or n-Am) with acetylcholinesterase, butyryl cholinesterase, and carboxyl esterase from warm-blooded animals was studied. All the compounds irreversibly inhibit these esterases, with k1 (M-1 min-1) being 1.8 x 10(4) - 1.9 x 10(6) for acetylcholinesterase, 2.0 x 10(6) - 4.1 x 10(7) for the more sensitive butyryl cholinesterase, and 2.3 x 10(7) - 2.3 x 10(8) and higher for the most sensitive carboxyl esterase. By using the Hansch and Kubinyi technique of multiple r...
[Ganglioside GM3 from horse erythrocytes: structure and effect on cell proliferation].
Bioorganicheskaia khimiia    August 1, 1993   Volume 19, Issue 8 817-824
Menzeleev RF, Smirnova GP, Chekareva NV, Zvonkova EN, Krasnopol'skiĭ IuM, Shvets VI.An increase of the mouse fibroblast proliferation by ganglioside GM3 from equine erythrocytes is described. The structure of GM3 has been established on the basis of chemical methods, enzymatic degradation, GC-MS, as well as plasma desorption mass spectrometry and HPLC of 9-anthrylmethyl esters of gangliosides to characterize the long-chain base composition. The oligosaccharide moiety includes an N-glycolylneuraminic acid residue, whereas the main components of the lipid moiety are 20:1 sphingosine and 24:0 fatty acids.
[Interaction of bis-phosphorylated methanes with mammalian esterases].
Bioorganicheskaia khimiia    October 1, 1984   Volume 10, Issue 10 1347-1352
Makhaeva GF, Shataeva GA, Iankovskaia VL, Fetisov VI, Loshadkin NA.The interaction of human erythrocyte acetylcholinesterase, horse serum butyrylcholinesterase and rat liver carboxylesterase with insecticides (RO)2P(O)SCH(COOEt)SP(O)(OR)2 (I) and (RO)2P(O)SCH(COOEt)OP(S)(OR)2 (II) was studied. The type I and II compounds were not hydrolyzed by carboxylesterase and inhibited the esterases irreversibly. A complex pattern of inhibition of acetylcholinesterase and butyrylcholinesterase by these compounds was caused by kinetically-manifested formation of an enzyme-inhibitor complex. The compounds I and II were more selective towards butyrylcholinesterase than towa...
