Use of the dry chemistry “Reflotron” blood analyzer under outdoor-field conditions in veterinary medicine. Horse blood was analysed with the Cobas Bio analyzer, and indoor and outdoor analyses were also performed with the Reflotron. All values showed close agreement with no significant differences. Further, the effect of jugular vein compression before and during blood sampling on the plasma ammonia values was evaluated. Lindner A.Several clinical chemical blood variables were compared, in order to evaluate the differences between Na heparinized plasma and serum samples. Samples from 45 healthy horses were used.
