dl-Alpha Tocopheryl Acetate
DL-Alpha Tocopheryl Acetate is a synthetic form of vitamin E created by esterifying alpha-tocopherol with acetic acid. The “DL” designation indicates that it is a racemic mixture, containing both the naturally occurring D-isomer and the synthetic L-isomer. This formulation enhances the stability of vitamin E, allowing it to withstand processing and storage conditions in feed manufacturing.
In equine nutrition, DL-Alpha Tocopheryl Acetate is incorporated as a source of vitamin E, a fat-soluble nutrient essential for maintaining cell membrane integrity and supporting normal immune function.
