Lecithin
Lecithin is a naturally occurring phospholipid commonly derived from soybean, sunflower, or egg yolk. It is widely used in animal nutrition for its emulsifying properties, which aid in the digestion and absorption of dietary fats. Lecithin contains phosphatidylcholine and other phospholipids that contribute to cell membrane integrity and metabolic processes.
In equine nutrition, lecithin is included in feed formulations to support fat digestion, improve nutrient absorption, and promote gut health.
