Mentha haplocalyx, commonly known as Chinese mint or field mint, is a species of mint native to East Asia. It is closely related to other Mentha species and is known for its aromatic properties, primarily due to its high menthol content. The aerial parts of the plant—leaves and stems—are harvested and dried for use in herbal preparations.
