Stabilized Milled Flaxseed (Linseed)

Stabilized milled flaxseed is flaxseed (Linum usitatissimum) that has been ground and processed to slow oxidation, extending shelf life while preserving its nutrients. It is a rich source of the omega-3 fatty acid alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), along with quality protein and soluble fiber.

In equine diets, stabilized milled flaxseed is used as a source of dietary fat and omega-3 fatty acids to support coat and skin condition, a healthy inflammatory response, and added calories. Stabilization reduces the rancidity that can occur once flaxseed is ground.
