[Pathology of cardiac ventricular aneurysms in the horse].
Abstract: The authors describe pathologic and histopathologic findings of three cardiac aneurysms in horses, two of which in the left ventricle and one in the right ventricle. The aneurysms were always associated with multiple foci of myocardiac fibrosis. A hypothesis concerning histogenesis of the lesion is formulated.

The research is a pathological study on cardiac ventricular aneurysms in horses where authors discuss their findings and formulate a hypothesis regarding the lesion’s histogenesis.
Pathological Findings
- The authors examined three cases of cardiac aneurysms in horses in this study.
- Two of these cases involved aneurysms in the left ventricle of the heart, while the third case involved an aneurysm in the right ventricle.
Histopathologic Findings
- Upon histopathologic examination, the authors noted each aneurysm was associated with several instances of myocardiac fibrosis.
- Myocardiac fibrosis is a condition in which heart muscle tissues are replaced by fibrous tissue, which could disrupt the normal functioning of the heart.
Hypothesis on Histogenesis of the Lesions
- In light of the observed association between myocardiac fibrosis and cardiac ventricular aneurysms in horses, the authors proposed a hypothesis regarding the development or histogenesis of these lesions.
- Although the details of the hypothesis are not mentioned in the abstract, it is likely related to a causal or contributory relationship between myocardiac fibrosis and the development of cardiac ventricular aneurysms in horses.
This study is of great significance as it adds to the existing body of knowledge on cardiac conditions in horses, particularly on cardiac aneurysms and associated myocardiac fibrosis. The authors’ formulated hypothesis could serve as a foundation for further research and enquiry on the histogenesis of such lesions.
