Dried Trichoderma reesei Fermentation Extract is a powder made by fermenting the fungus Trichoderma reesei, which produces enzymes that break down complex fibers. During fermentation, the fungus grows on a carbohydrate-rich substrate and synthesizes enzymes—such as cellulases—known for their role in degrading plant cell walls. Once fermentation is complete, the resulting mixture is dried and processed into a stable powder.

This extract is used as a feed additive in equine nutrition to support digestive function. The enzyme activity in the product may help improve the breakdown of fibrous components in forages, potentially increasing nutrient availability during digestion.
