Manganese Polysaccharide Complex - Feed Ingredient

Manganese polysaccharide complex is a chelated form of manganese in which manganese ions are bound to polysaccharides to enhance bioavailability and absorption in the digestive tract. This form of manganese is ideally less reactive with other dietary components compared to inorganic sources such as manganese oxide or manganese sulfate, improving its utilization by the horse’s body.

Manganese is an essential trace mineral involved in bone formation, cartilage development, and enzymatic reactions related to metabolism and antioxidant defense. It is commonly included in equine feeds and supplements to support proper skeletal and joint health, particularly in growing horses and performance horses. Its supplementation is particularly important in areas that have low manganese level in the forages.
