Equine peripheral blood-derived progenitors in comparison to bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells. Fibroblast-like cells isolated from peripheral blood of human, canine, guinea pig, and rat have been demonstrated to possess the capacity to differentiate into several mesenchymal lineages.
